Surgical Procedures

Crossroads Animal Clinic has a state of the art surgical suite which is equipped with the most advance equipment. We perform everything from routine surgical procedures such as spay, neuter, declaw for cats, or dental cleaning to the non-routine surgeries like growth removals, foreign body removals, splenectomies and third eyelid surgeries. To ensure your pet is a good candidate for surgery, we run a pre-anesthetic blood test.

While In Surgery
  • While most surgeries are uneventful, emergencies sometimes occur. This is why during surgery your pet is monitored by both the technician and the veterinarian using a pulse and oxygen monitor. The heart rate and respiratory rate is documented throughout the surgery.
  • While your pet is under anesthesia, we also recommend performing any other procedures that might otherwise be uncomfortable for your pet, such as, dental cleaning, micro chipping, ear plucking, and nail trimming to name a few.
Required Forms and Vaccinations

At the time of drop off we will have a consent form for you to sign, if you have any questions please feel free to ask our receptionists. We ask that you give us a good number that we can reach you throughout the day. Your pet is usually ready to go home after 5pm.

We do ask, for the protection of all pets in the clinic, that your pet is current on all vaccines. For canines this includes: Rabies, DHPP and Parainfluenza/Bordetella. For felines this includes: Rabies and FVRCP.
